In 1996 I wanted to thank my customers for their support of my newly created business that year. I decided to bake my Grandmother's (Ms. B) Jamaican Fruit Cake, (also called Rum Cake or Black Cake).
My Grandmother did not initially share everything about her recipe with me. But with dedication and perseverance I finally can bake her cake.
The "Essence" of the cake is in the fruits which have been in a spa treatment marinate "soak" of port wine and rum.
